This may be one of the last few weeks to pull off bare legs so I’m taking full advantage while I can. Temperatures in the city are hovering in the 80’s, even hotter than it was in July! Even though the days are getting shorter, we still have plenty of sunshine so no need to break out the layers just yet.
I’ve been dragging my feet on switching over my wardrobe and the weather isn’t helping motivate me. Instead of pulling out my knits, pants and layering pieces, I’m getting creative with styling some of the pieces I’ve had in rotation from Spring and Summer. I got these vegan leather shorts in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and they are the perfect piece for going in between seasons. The baggy fit is stylish, flattering and appropriate for my office and they go with pretty much any top. This sheer top is an oldie but goodie from Zara. For evenings out I usually pair it with a pretty little bralette, but for day a simple cropped black tank does the trick.
And since it’ so damn hot I’m staying in my sandals! These strappy cage heel sandals are surprisingly comfortable and add instant sex appeal to any look. I finished this look with a purple smoky eye, since a pop color felt appropriate for the weather but still kind of glam for Fall.
The shorts are no longer on sale, but you can still grab them at Nordstrom, along with too many options of sheer tops to choose from!
