Going monochrome makes dressing easy. When in doubt or in a rush just don the same hue head to toe for an instantly chic look. For a last minute cocktail near City Hall, I went for this silk Derek Lam dress with elegantly distressed detailing, navy Christian Louboutin slingbacks, and vintage Sergio Rossi butterfly cuffs for a bit of drama. Since it was too hot to deal with my curls, they went up into a simple crown braid. And done.
