It’s Black Friday in July! This week both the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and Amazon Prime Day kick off. I’m not covering the Nordstrom sale this year, so decided to scour the internet for the best Prime Day deals so you don’t have to! I’ve been shopping Amazon a lot more since I moved and the assortment has gotten so good, especially in fashion and beauty. If you are planning to shop Prime Day sales, here are a few of my favorite items I’ve noticed on site.

Quick and Easy Ways To Look Your Best this Summer!
The best season of the year is in full swing! Summer is full of long sunny days and nights that require easy, breezy fun pieces that keep you stylish and comfy. This summer I’ve been really into bold prints and patterns and easy footwear that gets me through morning noon and night. I try to avoid spending a lot on summer clothes, since I’m generally not a huge shopper, but I do like to refresh my look a bit to make things more fun. Here are a few of the trends I love this season and how I’m rocking them!
Printed Separates and Crop Tops
I can’t resist a bold print, and when it comes on a pair of billowy pants even better! The palm tree pattern is perfect for my new home here in LA! Plus since I’ve been trying to step up my workouts and diet I feel much more confident stepping out in a tiny crop top. This tie-front version bares a good amount of skin but still feels elegant, so you can def dress it up or down, but I suggest keeping the bottom high-waisted so you have a bit more coverage.
The Summer Power Dress
When I think power dress, what usually comes to mind is a structured silhouette in a bold color, probably paired with some killer heels. To get that vibe in a more relaxed, summery feel I prefer a statement making maxi dress. Options with a more classic silhouette like a wrap dress or with a more structured hem work nicely for the office or an evening out. And they go great with pretty much any shoe in your wardobe, from sandals, heels to dad sneakers!
The Granny Chic Sundress
It’s a guilty pleasure, but I love a hint of something granny-esque in my #OOTDs! I love dresses like this ditzy floral midi dress since it’s comfy and casual enough for brunch and rooftop hopping, with just a bit of old school elegance. The slightly boxy fit makes it effortless and cool, not sexy like a more body-skimming style. Plus it’s light and airy enough for even a scorching summer day!

3 Affordable Fashion Sites to Shop for Summer!
Guess what guys! I did my first podcast! Yes, yours truly made a guest appearance on the Starengu podcast this week. We discussed my favorite in flight beauty rituals and how I juggle my demanding day job with my side hustle as a blogger/influencer. And of course we chatted a bit about shopping and fashion. I love curating a wardrobe that is timeless and adaptable. However I do like to sprinkle in trendy pieces seasonally for quick easy updates.
Since it was so great discussing on the podcast, I decided to give you guys a bit more info on some of my favorite and most affordable fast fashion sites. Check out my top 4 below!
Shein
Shein is a classic Instagram fashion site with thousands of items at prices as low as $5! Sizing can be hit or miss, but I've found that with careful measurements and maybe a quick stop at your local tailor you can make a cheapie dress look like a million (ok fine maybe a hundred) bucks! I’ve shopped the site several times and am rarely disappointed.
Just don't even think about retuning, the cost and time it will take to ship isnt worth it. Sell on Poshmark or give to a friend and move on.
Also at checkout you'll have the option to pay a small fee to insure your package, which I suggest you do. If you don't take the insurance you are on your own in case the package gets lost or stolen. Its usually under $3 depending on the order total so a small price to pay for peace of mind.
Amazon
Amazon has a crazy wide selection of affordable, fashionable items and most are super cheap and include prime shipping. Just be prepared to browse patiently because the search results are extensive and navigation isn't the easiest. But I've found everything from stylish, sexy swimwear to dresses, and even the perfect clear plastic tote. If you are nervous about fit/sizing just turn on the free returns filter as you start browsing.
Showpo
I worked with Showpo earlier this year and they are a great fashion find! The Australian retailer sells a huge assortment of products at low prices and with fast shipping. Everything I got looked just as expected and is surprisingly great quality considering their low prices. Plus the shipping is pretty fast and returns are allowed, but for store credit only and shipping is on you, so shop carefully!

Ready for some serious shopping? The Spring Sephora VIB sale kicks off this week and I am so excited! Sephora discounts are few and far between, so this is when I stock up on my favorite products, try new goodies that are hitting the shelves, and get ready to step up my beauty game for the new season.

This season’s skin is all about a natural glow! I’ll be trying the new Fenty Beauty Bronzers for sure, since pretty much everything else in the product line is incredible. Plus I’ve had the Becca Shimmering Skin Highlighter on my list for a while, so will get one or 2 of these, plus this brand new Nars liquid highlighter for when I want an all-over glow! And when we inch closer to summer I’ll be trading my usual foundation for a lighter weight tinted moisturizer.
Bold, Colorful Makeup for Fun Trendy Spring Looks
One of my most-used palettes last season was the Too Faced Natural Love palette, so I’m excited to test the newest version, Too Faced Natural Lust! I’m also obsessed with the new ABH Riviera palette and will be finishing all my summer looks with either a pop color eye or bold lip.
Body Care Products for a Head to Toe Glow
Since warm weather means exposing more skin, don’t forget about the rest of your body! The Fenty Beauty Body Lava is back in some hot new shades, and I’ll be updating my anti-cellulite routine with some new firming creams and masks. Plus a body scrub is an essential for the season, and I’ll be going for one like this Laura Mercier, that is super gently and luxurious.
Skin-Care Essentials for Glowing Skin All Spring Summer
And don’t forget the skin care essentials! I live for these Sephora Collection sleeping masks and eye masks so will be stocking up on both! And I desperately need to replace my Clarisonic brush heads so will buy a few of those, or maybe this set of head to toe body buffers! And of course, makeup remover wipes because you can never have enough of those!

Is Rent the Runway Unlimited Worth It?
Ever wonder how bloggers seem to have an endless assortment of designer clothes and accessories for the perfect #ootd or glam night out? Well the secret isn’t necessarily an unlimited budget! Rent the Runway has been one of my go to sources for formal events or weddings for years, but I recently decided to give an unlimited membership a try. I was gifted a code for a free month after attending one of their events at WeWork, so decided to give it a test run in December. My schedule was pretty full between holiday parties, photo shoots, and traveling to Art Basel. I definitely needed a collection of Instagram worthy looks at my disposal but was absolutely not going run up my credit card bill for the gram. Here are some of the looks I rented and my thoughts on whether or not Rent the Runway Unlimited is worth it, and getting the most out of your membership!
Rent the Runway Unlimited isn’t technically unlimited! You can have 4 items out at a time, and you are encouraged to return multiple items in one shipment to reduce the environmental impact. However you can swap out items as often as you want! The processing time is super fast - usually my items were received the next day and I could order my next round. And if you order before 2pm and ship to store they usually arrive the same day. For the looks below, I ordered them a few days before I had my holiday shoot scheduled and shipped them back when I was done.
The membership also came in super handy before my trips to Savannah and Miami. All my summer clothes were packed away for the season, so renting was a perfect option. Here are some of the fun looks I rented for travel to warm weather destinations.
Plus they have more than just formalwear and fancy dresses! I rented this statement coat because I was bored with my winter rotation, and this casual sweatshirt for weekend brunch.
So is Rent the Runway Unlimited worth it? I say yes if you are someone who goes to a lot of events on a regular basis, or if you are a blogger and always need fun items to shoot! It’s also great to activate your membership during busy times, like for wedding season or during the holidays when you have a lot of parties. Then you can freeze or cancel for the months when your schedule is lighter and you don’t need to rent as much.

Sephora just announced their Fall VIB sale and I am so ready! As you guys know, Sephora sales are few and far between so they are a great time to stock up on your beauty faves and try some new things while they are discounted. Check out my shopping list below!

I'm stocking up on old favorites and trying out some new goodies. The Nars team sent me the new Orgasm Illuminating Powder and I'll definitely be buying a new jar while it's on sale! Plus I'm almost out of the Radiant Creamy concealer that is one of my go-tos so will definitely get one. And since my skin has been behaving so much better these days, I want to try a lighter, tinted moisturizer instead of my usual full-coverage liquid foundation. I may also throw in some of these cheap travel masks from Sephora collection, and test out the new gummy version of my go-to hair vitamins from Hum!
Palettes
I've been stalking the ABH Norvina palette since it dropped so may finally pick it up! I'm also loving face/cheek palettes from Nars and ABH, and this lip palette that is full of more colors than I'd know what to do with!
Sets
Gift sets are always a great deal, whether or not you actually gift them or keep them! Tatcha never disappoints, and these Stila liquid eyeshadows are incredible! You guys also know I love the Brazilian Bum Bum cream to keep the dimples away! Plus I just started using Beauty Blenders, and this set that combines some new and old faves is right up my alley! And can't forget some new Fall friendly lip colors and my go-to fragrance layering kit.

6 Affordable Swimsuits You Need Now!

Scary to admit that summer is almost over! Is it just me or does it feel like we haven't had that many great beach days? Between the less than seasonal temps and drizzly cloudy days, Summer 17 has so far not been my favorite.
Hopefully the next few weekends will get better so we can pack in the beach time while we still can. Can you believe there are only 3 weekends left until summer is officially over?
Since Labor Day is right around the corner, I'm starting to think about what I'll be buying for Fall. Yet in browsing all the sites, I find myself getting lured in by all the summer stuff on sale. Now is a good time to stop up on summer basics that are up for grabs at amazing prices, so you'll have a shell of a wardrobe already built for Summer 18. Then when next May rolls around, all you'd have to do is throw in a few on trend items for the new season and you'll be all set.
Even though the last thing I need in life right now is more bikinis, I have a weakness for them, and since I will never spend more than $100 on one, I stalk sales for cute, quality styles at discounted prices. Since swim trends will change each season you don't want to stock up on outdated items, but I found a few styles that are a mix of fun and classic and will still fit perfectly into your beachwear rotation come next summer. Making me Blush
In case you haven't noticed, I'm a big fan of culottes. I own them in too many colors to count and can't seem to stop myself from buying more. They are easy, comfy, and look super chic and sophisticated. This sweet blush pair is from Zara, and I bought them full price but now they are half off in Zara's big end of season sale. If you are on the hunt, grab them at an amazing price while you can!
And how amazing is this sweater! It's J Crew Collection and when I saw the romantic pink and cable knit details, I was all over it! It's lightweight but warm, and has a really cool oversized feel, though not too dramatic.
And since it's still too chilly to have your feet fully exposed, I added these nude shimmery fishnet tights and pink Armani pumps.
