The Perfect Summer Day & Perfect Summer Dress

Summer in the city is finally here! It’s so nice coming back from a trip but keeping the vacation vibe going thanks to the amazing weather and summer fun! 

One of my favorite places in New York is the New York Botanical Garden. It’s full of a gorgeous collection of blooms and has great special exhibitions all year round. So as soon as summer Friday’s started, I hopped on the Metro-North and took a quick 20 minute train ride up to the garden for an afternoon of exploring. 

Since it was Rose Garden weekend I was feeling garden party chic and decided to break out one of the dresses I picked up in Spain. This easy breezy cotton baby is so comfortable but has just a touch of romance and glamour. And it’s in the color that I can’t seem to let go of – millennial pink! This came from a tiny boutique in Mallorca, but check out similar styles you can purchase below. 

Since gardens are definitely not the place for high-heels I decided to balance the floaty dress with a pair of fringe, Dolce Vita sandals. They are super stylish and comfy, and keep the summer vibe going strong. Plus the yellow and white fringe is an unexpected pairing with the soft, dusty pink dress.
