The Craziest Trends You'll Be Wearing This Fall

Can you believe summer is already almost over? I've been reveling in the days of crop tops, cut offs, and sundresses, but the pre-Fall emails trickling in have me thinking about how soon the seasons will change. Lots of the goodies inspired by what debuted at NYFW are starting to show up in stores so it's time to start strategically thinking about your shopping list. Here are some of the most fun trends that will be key for Fall. Luckily you still have plenty of time to figure out how to wear them!

Volume

Clothes get big for Fall - think massive shoulders, intense draping, and almost comically billowy trousers.

Statement Fur

Fall's best furs can be real or faux, but will definitely feature cotton candy colors or funky prints.

Off the Shoulder

The off the shoulder trend transitions from summer to Fall. Think heavier fabrics, cold weather friendly prints and textures, or layered under classic button downs or turtlenecks

Silver

Michael Kors, Cushnie et Ochs, Oscar de la Renta

Shine on. The new metallic of the season is silver, whether icy pale grey, or deep gunmetal hues

Ruffles

Ruffles grow up. Think less girly and more sophisticated details on sleeves, hems, necklines and bodices.
