Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and beauty, and now wedding planning. Stay awhile, hope you enjoy it!

Art Basel 2015 Recap

It was a beautiful weekend in Miami! Here are the highlights of my trip, from the art to the parties, and of course, the outfits.

Friday

After landing we freshened up and headed over to Basement at Edition for the launch of the  Rap Tees book, an exploration of the rarest hip hop t-shirts from 1980-1999. Edition is one of my favorite spots in Miami so I decided to break out a dress from one of my fave designers. This black and white Herve Leger dress was sexy, fun, and graphic, perfect for the occasion, and my Steve Madden caged sandals were hot and shockingly comfortable enough to dance the night away in.

Saturday

After brunching at News Cafe, we headed to the Galore x Complex Party at a private mansion on Miami's exclusive Sunset Island. The theme was a celebration of the men and women of next year, with a performance by Jaden Smith. Kylie Jenner and Hailey Baldwin were in attendance, along with a ton of art world influencers. The party also served to introduce Olio watches, the first pure luxury smartwatch on the market. In the mood for more pop colors, I wore a Clover Canyon body-con dress and teal and gold Sergio Rossi heels.

After a whirlwind dinner in Wynwood we headed to Secret Walls, a street art battle between two artists that freestyle a mural in a timed competition. We spent the rest of the evening hanging in Wynwood watching other artists work on their murals before hitting up an A$AP showcase at Mana. Keeping in the graphic mood, I wore a 2 piece black and white printed look from Peter Pilotto's Target line.

By now my only disappointment was that we hadn't been to any fairs, so I forced myself up early on Sunday for the last day of Scope. Getting there just as it was opening was the absolute best time as I got to walk the fair alone while it was quiet and empty, and really talk to the gallerists on display. One of the highlights of that day was meeting the incredibly talented Shawn Michael Warren. One of the reasons I love Art Basel is the chance to see new talent emerging in the art world, and he is definitely someone who will be making waves. Check out all the other art I fell in love with in the gallery below! Until next year Miami!
